VISIT PORT MACQUARIE MUSEUM

Located on the Mid North Coast of NSW, in the heart of Port Macquarie's CBD, our award winning Museum and historic Store building tell the stories of those who have come before us and what makes our town special. Home to the Birpai People, Port Macquarie was once a British penal settlement and is now a popular tourist and sea-change destination. We have been sharing Port Macquarie's stories since 1957.

TIPS FOR YOUR VISIT: 

  • Allow plenty of time for your visit as our museum is much larger than it looks. There are over 2,000 objects on display at any time. 
  • Comprising several rooms and galleries, most visitors are pleasantly surprised once they step inside. We recommend you allow up to an hour for your visit. 
  • Exhibits are regularly updated so that we can share more of our over 20,000 collection items with you. If you have visited before, you might like to visit again!


ADMISSION FEES:
Admission fees apply and help us to care for our collections and State heritage listed building. Our current admission fees are:
Adults $7, Seniors/Concessions $5, Children $3, Families $15.
